Welcome to our family owned and run tearooms where we take simple ingredients, work with love and care to create tasty wholesome  home baked and freshly prepared food for our customers.

Located near the top of Church Street in Great Malvern (above Elts shoe shop). Locals, visitors and walkers have been made welcome for over 110 years, making us one of the longest established tearooms in the area.

We offer a varied, traditional menu and take pride in being able to cater for all dietary needs from vegetarian or vegan to gluten-free or dairy free diet.

After a walk on the lovely Malvern Hills why not venture a few more steps of our stairs where we can provide you with much-needed refreshment, a wickedly wonderful cream tea, a simple lunch or a hearty breakfast. Take a window seat and look over to Elgar’s statue or Malvina the natural water spring or simply sit back and relax.

Customer Reviews

  • What a lovely little cafe! Perfect after walking in the hills. There is a good choice on the menu, freshly made cakes a d an awesome tea menu. They offer free-form options, I had a lovely dairy free lemon cake. Will definitely visit again

  • Great home-made cakes - good service, good coffee - always enjoy meeting friends there. Edward Elgar loved it too!!

  • This is exactly what a Tea Room should be! We had the blue bird afternoon tea and were so surprised to be offered a variety of scones and jams. To top it off, the scones were warm and beautifully freshly baked, some of the best I've ever eaten. The waiter was also really friendly and the whole place felt so homely. We have already decided to come back again next week.
